My Approach

I describe my approach as integrative and relational. Integrative means that I draw on a wide range of ideas and concepts to inform my work together. You may have heard of some of them: psychodynamic concepts, attachment theory, gestalt and body psychotherapy.

Relational means that I’m guided as well by the habitual patterns that you may have developed in relation to people over the years and how these play out in the relationship between us. I see my role as not to provide you with a diagnosis or even an off-the-shelf solution. My role is to act as a guide to help you rediscover the full capacity of who you are and how you orient yourself to the world and society.

About Me

I’m an Integrative Psychotherapist based in West London, registered with both the UKCP and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am guided by their ethical frameworks.

I hold a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from the Minster Centre, one of the UK’s leading training establishments.

I have a private practice in Hammersmith and also work for a charity that provides free counselling and therapy as part of the NHS’s Back on Track (NHS Talking Therapies) service. My experience there has brought me into contact with a wide variety of people from the diverse local community who are struggling with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, anger, bereavement and loss, self-harm, problems related to work and stress, relationship issues and health-related issues. I have an interest in and have conducted research into issues around sexuality, sex and sexual identity.

I have many years’ experience working in an arts and creative industry background, working with actors, musicians, artists, writers and other creative individuals and am interested in the role that creativity and imagination play in people’s lives. I have a degree in Biological Sciences which provided me with strong analytical and theorising skills.
